Permute Last Layer Corners
In this step, we will finish the cube. Here I will teach you how to permute the last layer corners. This means that you will move the corners into their correct position. There are only four distinct cases and you only need to learn one algorithm, so this shouldn't be too hard.
This is the last step in the solution, but if you'd like to see an example solve, move on to the Recap.
Algorithms Used
This is just a 3 cycle of corners. Hold the corner block at the front-left position and perform the algorithm to finish the cube. Right side down, front side clockwise, right side down, back side twice, right side up, front side counterclockwise, right side down, back side twice, right side twice.
If you have this case, you will have to perform the algorithm twice.
This case is a little different. If you have no corner blocks, you can just perform the algorithm on any face. This will create a corner block. Then just rotate the cube as needed and perform the appropriate algorithm.
Like the case above, just perform the algorithm while facing any side, rotate, and do the alg again to finish the cube. |
